What's up with ted poe?

Poe's only sign amongst all the teeny tiny ones from other repugs.

Maybe he's trying to fool his Republican base to come out and vote early because Repug turnout is so low in Kingwood. Maybe if they think he's opposed in the primary, they'll come out. Or is he actually worried about the Democrat running for CD-02 Gary Binderim?

I took a drive around Kingwood late last week and drove past the early voting location at the Kingwood Fire Station only to find, not ted poe's 18 x 24 signs, but the 4 foot by 8 foot signs!!! I was like: "What the..."

Something else I noticed in the www.GaryBinderim.com visit stats was numerous--and I mean LOTS--of hits from the house.gov server. Is ted poe looking at the site? Maybe it's Rahm Emanuel at the DCCC trying to figure out how much to shoot this way? Although I hope so, it's probably poe's people.

Then I heard that, at a recent poe fundraiser, Binderim was a topic of discussion. They talked about his picture with all the Democrats and how it isn't going to help him as if a Democrat needs to run to the right in this district. Well, obviously, they're noticing him! They're actually looking at the pictures, of all things! And it is those hard-working middle income families that don't get invitations to poe's high-dollar bar-b-que parties that want to hear about Binderim's priorities for District 2--and not Tom DeLay's. So, they're worried.
Finally, poe's paid staff was out and about this weekend dropping door hangers in various neighborhoods in Kingwood. Oh yeah, he's noticing.

And to top it off, other than the website, visits to various clubs around the county, and the plan to travel around the District--especially to Dem-heavy Jefferson County, the Binderim campaign has yet to receive coverage in the community newspapers. (The campaign press release will be released soon and then the interviews will come soon after.).

So, if the Binderim campaign is already forcing ted poe to spend money while unopposed in the Repug primary on signs, staff, and more, well, then Gary Binderim is doing pretty damn good at this point. This is definitely good news for Gary Binderim, considering ted poe is an overfunded, special interest-laden Republican who, after one term in a DeLay-led Republican Congress will still only have his time as a county judge to sell to voters--he really didn't do much in two years. Ted Poe has provided no ideas, no innovation, definitely no rest for the working and middle income taxpayers' wallets, and a record as an Anti-Ethics Candidate.

The 2004 results came out poe 56% and Lampson 43%. Republicans are eager to meet Gary--from Spring to Kingwood to Beaumont. ted poe is a failure and his own party knows it. Why else do a growing number of thinking Republicans and Independents want to hear the alternative?

As the Binderim campaign takes off, it's time for Democrats, Independents and disgruntled Republicans from all over Texas and the U.S. to start supporting Gary Binderim. Send your contribution today!
