Thoughts on Viernes--Convention Edition
Personal Highlights--
Other than meeting Democratic VIPs and supporting Latino Democratic unity?
Before giving her campaign speech at the MAD Caucus, the next Lt. Gov. of Texas wished me a Happy Birthday! That really made my week! Of course, I hung out with him and TOTALLY FORGOT...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY REP. AARON PENA!!!!! Sorry, man. All the excitement from meeting some of the VIPs made me forget.
I got elected in SD4 to serve on the tabulation team, representing the Charlie Urbina-Jones campaign.
My sis, Toni Medellin, was elected in SD4 to serve on the nominations committee. She ran on a platform calling for "No Recommendation." Good luck at the meeting, 'mana!
Blogger's Caucus: I missed it all! Well, practically. After the long evening session at the Arena, a whole group of SD4-Harris folks went out to eat and "talk shop." We didn't go "exotic" we went to Chilis! Not bad, but not the greatest either. After I got upstairs, I saw another Latino VIP, State Rep. Escobar from Kingsville and I believe it was State Rep. Trey Martinez-Fischer, whom I met earlier at the Hispanic Caucus. They seemed to be plotting something--maybe the takeover of the world? Oh, that's right. That was being done at my table. Anyway, I finally made it to the Caucus and hung out with Brains and Huevos P. Diddie himself, Mrs. Diddie, and DVO himself, David Van Os. DVO is also a reader of DC. So, now I know what these leaders do when they aren't campaigning! Reading blogs! We're important y'all!!!
I did get to finally meet Annatopia and Vince Leibowitz. I promised them I'd make it to the Arena Floor with my laptop on Saturday so I could blog a little from the floor. And maybe post more photos. I need photos with my fellow blogueros!!!
Another highlight was talking for a bit to State Rep. Anna Hernandez who is just too cool; saw my bud and sometimes critic Sandra; my e-mail buddy from Latinos for Texas Crystal Viagran and her associate Lila Valencia. Good to see you all. We must get a photo so I can place it on the blog and make you famous. Or is that "infamous"?
See you all in 8 hours. I'm tired, sleepy, and ready for some more!

That is great! Congrats to the both of you.
yo, we missed you at Glen and Charlie's party.... hope to chat it up more with ya next time.
I barely made it to the Bloggers Caucus at 11:30pm and by the time I left (30 minutes later), I was dead tired.
Then I saw you in downtown Sunday morning, but I was on my way to meeting my sis for the road home. I guess time just wasn't on our side--too much stuff to do.
But soon--mucho chat!
Stace
yep, and i wound up behind you after that when we left for Austin in the wrong direction! you know how those nutty people from Travis can be. ;)
