It looks like we'll have a black governor in Massachussets. Deval Patrick is 25 points ahead in the latest poll. He's running on issues that matter. And even when Republicans try to use the silver bullet of him defending an "unsavory defendant" he responds with: "I have on occasion represented the unsavory defendant. And you better be glad somebody does because that's what puts the justice in the justice system."

I see the second black President of the USA in our midst. Bill Clinton was the first, of course.
