Noriega Makes the Front Page...
My favorite potential candidate for U.S. Senate, Rick Noriega, is just about set to launch the exploratory committee and the big front page article (and the one in the Telegram) about him gave me a dose of reality on the subject: We got ourselves a great candidate to promote so we can put him on the ballot permanently!
Even though the Chron has opened itself up to every wing-nut in Texas by continuing to have those comments at the end of articles, we have nothing to worry about. Much like I feel the 25% that still support Bush all live in Kingwood, I feel these wing-nuts are just about all the fringe of the Republican Party has to offer. So, I'm not worried about those commenters, and at this point, they are hardly, or ever will be, worth much.
But yes, we must not rest until we tell everyone we know about Rick Noriega. This is going to be a people's campaign, and what helps even more is that we have a people's candidate con corazon. And that's a lot more than $10 million can buy!
