A Fence That Saves Lives
I really don't mind the turtle-saving fence in Michigan. During a time in which the "Keep Mexicans Out Fence" continues to be the topic of Republican (and a few Dumbocrat) campaigns, it's good to see a fence that promotes quality of life (for turtles), instead of separation of (human) families.
Rick Perry Gets It
After getting re-elected with all of 39%, Rick Perry now gets it. If Republicans want to win, then Rudy Giuliani is the GOPs best bet, as I have stated before.
Have You Been Banned?
NHMCCD has banned a blog critical of its new chancellor on district computers. I need to visit Kingwood College to see if I've been banned. I've been critical of the district, period! And I'm hoping someone I know runs for NHMCCD board next year!
Service vs Bigotry? Easy Choice!
Matt Stiles has a blog post on "truthiness." I could say so much about this, but between these two, I'd pick Zaf Tahir. I haven't checked Zaf's endorsement list, but I hope he doesn't have any Latino-targeting members of Congress supporting him. That was the deal-breaker for me and many of my peeps in the 'Wood (including Poe's 2006 opponent/Prez of the Kingwood Area Dems).
Of course, in At-Large 5, I decided to go with the Educator...Joe Treviño.
Vote Early...Vote Often!
Have a great Campaign Weekend, gente! Early Voting begins on Monday, October 22nd. Here's a PDF of the Early Voting locations!
