Cap Annex Breaks Story: Yanez Lacks Sigs!

Vince at Capitol Annex breaks the story that Supreme Court Pl. 8 wannabe Linda Yanez may lack the signatures to qualify her for the ballot.

He has the story here.

If you recall, Yanez was the one who complained about having to obtain signatures. Meanwhile, my favorite in this race, Judge Susan Criss, worked the state of Texas and collected 1600 signatures, and at least the minimum in each Appellate Court district.

While I can not state my preference in this race due to ethical restraints imposed by my own candidacy, I believe it is important that this issue be clarified ASAP so that if Yanez wins the primary, we don't end up without a candidate in this race. The Capitol Annex story mentioned this, but this is crucial and bears repeating here.

Thanks, Mike. It is important that this be stated. Our candidates should be responsible enough to ensure they get things done and done right when filing. It would be an embarrassment to have a candidate kicked off the ballot because they didn't do their homework.

So, as I've made it clear, I'll support the one that got it right the first time--Judge Criss.
