Radnofsky Team Building the Party

Barbara Ann Radnofsky has come out as one of the most effective former candidates from 2006. She took the experience she gained as a candidate and basically turned it into a tool to not only help other candidates, but to also help build the Party's candidate base. Already, her Believe Texas PAC has held fundraisers and helped 35 candidates across the state of Texas, and based on this communication from the PAC, it looks like she and Katie Floyd are far from done. We all are dedicated to electing more Democrats in Texas. Since Barbara Ann's U.S. Senate campaign, she has established a state political action committee, Believe Texas PAC, to do just that. It's been an exciting 21 months - we've hosted fundraisers and donated to many worthy candidates. Barbara Ann, personally and through her PAC, has helped over 35 candidates.

We have helped dozens of candidates to this point in their campaigns, and your help today will enable us to support candidates at the end of their campaigns as well. A contribution of $35 will send a message that you are pleased with our efforts to help candidates, but any contribution you can make from $5 to $5,000 will allow us to help more candidates around the state as we work toward victory in November.

Texas redistricting is right around the corner, and we have been dedicated to making sure that Democrats will have a seat at the decision making table. Believe Texas has helped Democratic State Representative candidates, both incumbents and challengers, all around the state and we have more candidates that we want to support.

Immediately after 2006, Barbara Ann started helping 2008 candidates, and we need your support to continue this important work. Your contribution today of $5, $35, $100, $250, $1,000, $5,000, or what ever you can afford will go along way to making sure that Believe Texas can continue to work with all of our courageous Democratic candidates in Texas.

In addition to our work to help State Representative candidates, we have also supported State Senate candidates, Texas Supreme Court candidates, judicial candidates and county-wide candidates across the state. Barbara Ann and Believe Texas have worked with candidates on many aspects of their campaign including fundraising, call time, grassroots contacts, overall strategy and we are bringing together candidates for a strategy session on efficient, direct voter contact with experts from Houston, Dallas and Los Angeles.

Believe Texas has managed our resources well, and we have kept overhead low. We have driven to San Antonio,New Braunfels, Austin and Dallas to help deserving candidates raise funds and make new contacts in their districts. And, we have never used the funds of the PAC to stay in hotels - we always rely on the generosity of our supporters who welcome us in to their homes for an overnight trip. Each event that Believe Texas has hosted has used locations that are free of charge. We refrain from using caterers and instead we use our own kitchens to make the food for fundraising events. Barbara Ann is a grill master and Katie knows how to bake a mean chocolate chip cookie.
